What happens when a fast-starting, high-scoring attacking unit collides with a team that completely falls apart in the first half?
Helsingborg found the perfect antidote to their recent travel sickness on Tuesday, striking twice before the break to snap a three-match winless streak and secure a vital 1-2 away victory at Orebro.
Before the first whistle blew, both sides knew that a victory would dramatically reshape their early-season standing in the Superettan.
For Orebro, sitting in a decent position on 12 points, this home fixture was seen as a prime opportunity to jump into the upper echelons of the league, with the glittering prize of a potential spot as high as fourth waiting for them.
Helsingborg, on the other hand, arrived just one point behind their hosts, desperately seeking to address an alarming imbalance that had seen them collect 10 of their 11 points on their own turf, meaning they hit the road with the urgent need to salvage a dreadful away record that consisted of a solitary point.
The story of this match was entirely written in a frantic first half that closely matched some of the pre-match trends. Helsingborg, who came into the contest having led at half-time in four of their eight matches, wasted little time establishing dominance when Max Svensson stepped up to convert a penalty in the 19th minute (0-1).
Orebros historical vulnerability in the opening period was exposed again in the 41st minute, as Alexander Johansson doubled the visitors' advantage with a clinical finish to send the travelling fans into raptures (0-2).
This fast start heavily penalised the hosts, whose pre-match stat for scoring the first goal stood at a measly 22%.
True to form, Orebro showed their trademark second-half resilience; a team that had scored 83% of their goals after the interval began to push back, and their efforts were rewarded in the 77th minute when Antonio Yakoub pulled one back (1-2).
Given that 43% of Orebro's goals had previously come after the 75th minute, the closing stages were tense, especially since 71% of Helsingborgs conceded goals had occurred in the second half, but the visitors held firm to protect their lead.
For Orebro, this bitter 1-2 defeat marks their second consecutive home loss and extended a worrying trend of three consecutive home matches without a victory.
Their defensive frailties on their own turf continue to mount, as this was the fourth consecutive home match where they failed to keep a clean sheet, a regression for a side whose overall clean sheet rate of 44% remains double the league average.
This result pushes them down to 9th place in the Superettan table with 12 points, meaning they must quickly fix an attack that ranks at the very bottom of the Offence table with just 7 goals scored all season before they travel to face Ostersunds.
Helsingborg turned the tables on their travel struggles in style, continuing their incredible record of having scored in 100% of their league matches this season, making this their 9th consecutive scoring game.
Their clinical first-half display capitalised on their high-ranking First Half attack, proving that they can grab victories on the road despite holding a low overall ranking in the Defence table with 18 goals conceded.
This crucial win allows them to leapfrog their hosts in the league standings, climbing into 7th position on 14 points, sitting just two points adrift of the Top 3 as they look forward to a home fixture against Norrkoping.

The Segments Table is a visual representation splitting the teams into 5 segments. Each team is assigned to a specific segment, depending on the team's number of points. Each of the 5 segments spans one-fifth (20%) of the total points held by the team ranked 1st in the league. For each team, the number of matches played appears in green between brackets, and the number of points is displayed in black.
More statistics tables can be accessed from the 'Statistics' dropdown list on the league navigation menu.
