A game of two halves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium saw a spirited comeback from the hosts as they secured a 2-2 draw against Manchester City, a result that leaves the visitors trailing in the title race.
Tottenham entered the match desperate to halt a slide that had seen them go five matches without a win, hoping to recapture the form that had them competitive earlier in the season.
City arrived with the singular focus of catching league leaders Arsenal, knowing that their status as the league's most prolific attacking side made them formidable visitors for any backline.
The visitors didn't take long to make their mark, silencing the home crowd in the 11th minute. City broke out in a swift counter-attack through the centre, with Erling Haaland finding Rayan Cherki in midfield; the youngster drove towards the box and, with defenders backing off, unleashed a low right-footed strike from the edge of the area into the bottom left corner (0-1).
Just before the break, Rodri intercepted a loose pass from the Spurs defence and found Bernardo Silva, who squared the ball perfectly for Antoine Semenyo to coolly slot into the top left corner (0-2).
The match turned in the 53rd minute when Xavi Simons threaded a pass to Dominic Solanke, who resisted his marker and cut inside to find the bottom right corner (1-2).
The comeback was completed in spectacular fashion in the 70th minute when Conor Gallagher drilled a cross from the right, and Dominic Solanke produced a stunning back-heel scorpion kick that looped over the keeper (2-2).
Spurs showed immense character to fight back from a daunting deficit, but the result means they are now winless in their last 6 matches and have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last four home games.
Sitting 14th in the table, they will need to address a defence that has conceded at least two goals in four consecutive outings before they travel to face Manchester United in their next fixture. Despite the recovery, the lack of a win at home remains a pressing concern for the coaching staff.
Manchester City will be frustrated at letting a two-goal lead slip, especially given they have scored the opening goal in 19 of their 24 matches this season and appeared in total control at the break.
While they remain 2nd and the league's highest scorers, they will be concerned by a trend that sees 74% of their goals conceded in the second half, a weakness that was ruthlessly exploited today. They must now regroup for a massive clash against Liverpool as they attempt to keep their title hopes alive.
2nd consecutive draw for Tottenham. 5th consecutive game where Tottenham scored. 7th consecutive home game where Tottenham scored. 2nd consecutive away game where Manchester City conceded. 2nd consecutive game where Manchester City scored. 5th consecutive game where Tottenham conceded. 4th consecutive home game where Tottenham conceded.
To calculate the above duration values based on a total of 90 minutes, goals scored on the 45th minute and during added time of the first half are considered scored on the 45th minute, and goals scored on the 90th minute and during added time of the second half are considered scored on the 90th minute.

Domination Index calculation method
⌄
The Domination Index calculation is based on the average of the following percentages:
- Possession percentage - Percentage of match corners awarded to each team - Percentage of time each team has been in the lead
The calculation used is: AVERAGE OF (% Possession x 4, % Corners and % Lead duration x 2)
'Domination' in football can be perceived in different ways. The goal of the Domination Index, as calculated here, is not about trying to determine things like 'who should have won' or which team has been simply attacking the most.
Sometimes a team has easily scored once or twice in the beginning of the game and then opts for a more reactive stance, with a focus on hindering the opponent's game. At the end of the match, the opponent might have had more possession, and even more shots, but that does not necessarily mean they have dominated the other team.
Considering possession as only one of the factors, which also include corners (clearly indicating a form of pressure on the opponent's defence), and how much of the 90-minute match duration each team has been leading, allows to also account for when teams have simply been busy controling the game, without needing to attack a lot.

The 'League average' indicator refers to the average value for all teams in the league since the beginning of the season.
Note: in the table above, to allow for averaging duration values based on a total of 90 minutes per game, goals scored on the 45th minute and during added time of the first half are all considered to be scored on the 45th minute, and goals scored on the 90th minute and during added time of the second half are also considered scored on the 90th minute.
In this example, Tottenham have been in the lead for an average duration of 18.3 minutes per match (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is lower than the average duration of 33.9 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Non-crucial goals scored: goals scored that increased an existing lead, or decreased the opponent's existing lead.
Non-crucial goals conceded: goals conceded that decreased an existing lead, or increased the opponent's existing lead.
Note regarding the Goals giving the lead and the goals giving lead to opponent values: both the team and the opponent team might take the lead more than once during a single match,
so the total number of goals giving the lead to a team might be higher than the number of matches played by the team.
Lead-defending ability Tottenham have taken the lead 13 times and have conceded an equalizer on 6 instances, translating into a lead-defending rate of 54% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 46%).
Equalizing ability Of the 24 times that Tottenham's opponents have taken the lead, Tottenham have managed to score an equalizer on 11 instances, translating into an equalizing rate of 46%.
In this example, Tottenham have been in the lead for an average duration of 16.2 minutes per match played at home (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is lower than the average duration of 39.7 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (at home) In home matches, Tottenham have taken the lead 5 times and have conceded an equalizer on 3 occasions, translating into a home lead-defending rate of 40% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 60%).
Equalizing ability (at home) Of the 14 times that Tottenham's opponents have taken the lead when Tottenham were playing at home, Tottenham have managed to score an equalizer on 6 occasions, translating into a home equalizing rate of 43%.
In this example, Tottenham have been in the lead for an average duration of 20.4 minutes per match played away (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is lower than the average duration of 28.0 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (away) In away matches, Tottenham have taken the lead 8 times and have conceded an equalizer on 3 occasions, translating into an away lead-defending rate of 62% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 38%).
Equalizing ability (away) Of the 10 times that Tottenham's opponents have taken the lead when Tottenham were playing away, Tottenham have managed to score an equalizer on 5 occasions, translating into an away equalizing rate of 50%.
Tottenham stats rank the team in 16th position in the Premier League table with 29 points, 2 points behind Leeds Utd and 2 points above Nottm Forest.

In this example, Manchester City have been in the lead for an average duration of 45.5 minutes per match (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 6.7 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability Manchester City have taken the lead 28 times and have conceded an equalizer on 10 instances, translating into a lead-defending rate of 64% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 36%).
Equalizing ability Of the 7 times that Manchester City's opponents have taken the lead, Manchester City have managed to score an equalizer on 2 instances, translating into an equalizing rate of 29%.
In this example, Manchester City have been in the lead for an average duration of 56.0 minutes per match played at home (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 3.9 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (at home) In home matches, Manchester City have taken the lead 17 times and have conceded an equalizer on 6 occasions, translating into a home lead-defending rate of 65% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 35%).
Equalizing ability (at home) Of the 1 time that Manchester City's opponents have taken the lead when Manchester City were playing at home, Manchester City have managed to score an equalizer on 0 occasions, translating into a home equalizing rate of 0%.
In this example, Manchester City have been in the lead for an average duration of 35.0 minutes per match played away (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 9.4 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (away) In away matches, Manchester City have taken the lead 11 times and have conceded an equalizer on 4 occasions, translating into an away lead-defending rate of 64% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 36%).
Equalizing ability (away) Of the 6 times that Manchester City's opponents have taken the lead when Manchester City were playing away, Manchester City have managed to score an equalizer on 2 occasions, translating into an away equalizing rate of 33%.
Manchester City stats rank the team in 2nd position in the Premier League table with 59 points, 5 points behind Arsenal and 8 points above Manchester Utd.
