Brighton clawed back a point in spectacular fashion as they played out a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.
This result ensures the Seagulls' steady climb in the Premier League continues while leaving the visitors frustrated as their long wait for a victory on the road goes on.
Ahead of the whistle, Brighton looked to leverage a home record that had seen them score in ten out of eleven matches, aiming to cement their place in the top half of the table.
For Bournemouth, the objective was simple but daunting: secure a first away win in nine attempts and use their impressive away offence to pull further clear of the lower reaches of the standings.
The contest sparked into life just past the half-hour mark when a foul on Adli inside the area left the official with little choice but to point to the spot. Marcus Tavernier stepped up, keeping his cool to dispatch the penalty low into the bottom left corner, giving the Cherries a lead that silenced the home crowd (0-1).
Brighton, true to their reputation as a second-half side, threw everything forward as the clock ticked down, looking to maintain their record of scoring in almost every home fixture.
In the first minute of stoppage time, their persistence finally paid off; a deep lofted cross found Jan Paul van Hecke on the right side of the box, who headed the ball back across the face of goal. Charalampos Kostoulas controlled the ball on his chest and, in one fluid motion, unleashed a stunning overhead kick into the top corner to level the scores (1-1).
Brighton will take heart from this second consecutive draw, which extends their current unbeaten run to four matches in the league. While they failed to keep a clean sheet at home once again, their persistence in the final fifteen minuteswhere they score 38% of their goalspaid off to keep them in 12th place.
Looking ahead to Fulham, the Seagulls will want to address their habit of trailing at the interval, having been behind at half-time in 12 of their 22 games this season.
For Bournemouth, this result marks a ninth consecutive away match without a win, a streak that is becoming a heavy burden despite their ability to find the net in five straight trips.
They remain at the bottom of the Defence Away table with 30 goals conceded on the road, and this game once again highlighted a low lead-defending rate that sits well below the league average.
Sitting in 15th, they now face a monumental task in their next fixture as they return home to host Liverpool.
2nd consecutive draw for Brighton. 2nd consecutive away draw for Bournemouth. 5th consecutive game where Brighton scored. 2nd consecutive home game where Brighton scored. 7th consecutive game where Bournemouth conceded. 9th consecutive away game where Bournemouth conceded. 7th consecutive game where Bournemouth scored. 5th consecutive away game where Bournemouth scored. 2nd consecutive game where Brighton conceded.
To calculate the above duration values based on a total of 90 minutes, goals scored on the 45th minute and during added time of the first half are considered scored on the 45th minute, and goals scored on the 90th minute and during added time of the second half are considered scored on the 90th minute.

Domination Index calculation method
⌄
The Domination Index calculation is based on the average of the following percentages:
- Possession percentage - Percentage of match corners awarded to each team - Percentage of time each team has been in the lead
The calculation used is: AVERAGE OF (% Possession x 4, % Corners and % Lead duration x 2)
'Domination' in football can be perceived in different ways. The goal of the Domination Index, as calculated here, is not about trying to determine things like 'who should have won' or which team has been simply attacking the most.
Sometimes a team has easily scored once or twice in the beginning of the game and then opts for a more reactive stance, with a focus on hindering the opponent's game. At the end of the match, the opponent might have had more possession, and even more shots, but that does not necessarily mean they have dominated the other team.
Considering possession as only one of the factors, which also include corners (clearly indicating a form of pressure on the opponent's defence), and how much of the 90-minute match duration each team has been leading, allows to also account for when teams have simply been busy controling the game, without needing to attack a lot.

The 'League average' indicator refers to the average value for all teams in the league since the beginning of the season.
Note: in the table above, to allow for averaging duration values based on a total of 90 minutes per game, goals scored on the 45th minute and during added time of the first half are all considered to be scored on the 45th minute, and goals scored on the 90th minute and during added time of the second half are also considered scored on the 90th minute.
In this example, Brighton e Hove Albion have been in the lead for an average duration of 20.8 minutes per match (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is lower than the average duration of 26.6 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Non-crucial goals scored: goals scored that increased an existing lead, or decreased the opponent's existing lead.
Non-crucial goals conceded: goals conceded that decreased an existing lead, or increased the opponent's existing lead.
Note regarding the Goals giving the lead and the goals giving lead to opponent values: both the team and the opponent team might take the lead more than once during a single match,
so the total number of goals giving the lead to a team might be higher than the number of matches played by the team.
Lead-defending ability Brighton e Hove Albion have taken the lead 16 times and have conceded an equalizer on 7 instances, translating into a lead-defending rate of 56% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 44%).
Equalizing ability Of the 19 times that Brighton's opponents have taken the lead, Brighton have managed to score an equalizer on 10 instances, translating into an equalizing rate of 53%.
In this example, Brighton have been in the lead for an average duration of 30.9 minutes per match played at home (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 14.9 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (at home) In home matches, Brighton have taken the lead 12 times and have conceded an equalizer on 6 occasions, translating into a home lead-defending rate of 50% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 50%).
Equalizing ability (at home) Of the 6 times that Brighton's opponents have taken the lead when Brighton were playing at home, Brighton have managed to score an equalizer on 4 occasions, translating into a home equalizing rate of 67%.
In this example, Brighton have been in the lead for an average duration of 10.6 minutes per match played away (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is lower than the average duration of 38.3 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (away) In away matches, Brighton have taken the lead 4 times and have conceded an equalizer on 1 occasion, translating into an away lead-defending rate of 75% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 25%).
Equalizing ability (away) Of the 13 times that Brighton's opponents have taken the lead when Brighton were playing away, Brighton have managed to score an equalizer on 6 occasions, translating into an away equalizing rate of 46%.

In this example, AFC Bournemouth have been in the lead for an average duration of 25.5 minutes per match (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 20.9 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability AFC Bournemouth have taken the lead 21 times and have conceded an equalizer on 12 instances, translating into a lead-defending rate of 43% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 57%).
Equalizing ability Of the 20 times that Bournemouth's opponents have taken the lead, Bournemouth have managed to score an equalizer on 13 instances, translating into an equalizing rate of 65%.
In this example, Bournemouth have been in the lead for an average duration of 24.4 minutes per match played at home (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 15.8 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (at home) In home matches, Bournemouth have taken the lead 11 times and have conceded an equalizer on 5 occasions, translating into a home lead-defending rate of 55% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 45%).
Equalizing ability (at home) Of the 7 times that Bournemouth's opponents have taken the lead when Bournemouth were playing at home, Bournemouth have managed to score an equalizer on 5 occasions, translating into a home equalizing rate of 71%.
In this example, Bournemouth have been in the lead for an average duration of 26.6 minutes per match played away (based on a 90-minute match duration), which is longer than the average duration of 26.0 minutes per match during which their opponents were in the lead in those matches.
Lead-defending ability (away) In away matches, Bournemouth have taken the lead 10 times and have conceded an equalizer on 7 occasions, translating into an away lead-defending rate of 30% (for an opponents' equalizing rate of 70%).
Equalizing ability (away) Of the 13 times that Bournemouth's opponents have taken the lead when Bournemouth were playing away, Bournemouth have managed to score an equalizer on 8 occasions, translating into an away equalizing rate of 62%.
